A brief Note

I've' never required the services of a foodbank, and when I was layed up for ten months in 2018 due to a fractured heel, I never gave much thought to how they ran their day to day operations either. However, during the pandemic which followed, foodbanks gained a lot of traction in the news cycles as demand for their services increased, and I in turn discovered that some foodbanks staffed their phones in order to reach out to their recipients when time was of the essence, while others used email. Subsequently, I felt perhaps some foodbanks might benefit from a more cost-efficient alternative tailored more to their needs, and therein I found that 'good thing', or what I felt my contribution could be during the pandemic,
...which is why this site exists.

I hope this site becomes a reliable resource to many foodbanks after completion, sometime in early 2022. It could give foodbanks access to safe, free push notification services, which would increase their efficiency. And afterwards, as time rolls on, if it proves to be popular I'll continue to improve the site in my spare time now and again, and keep it as a completely 'free' resource to them .
If you are interested in knowing more about how some foodbanks might benefit, please click on the'Benefits' tab in the top navigation menu. And on the other hand, if you know of a foodbank which may benefit, please make mention.
...thanks for reading.

-And 'Thank you to all those who held the door for me back in 2018.
